Welcome to Crazy Idea Photography!

We’re Myka and Tony Raymond—educators by day, photographers by passion, and the founders of Crazy Idea Photography.

Our journey began in 2016 with a simple belief: everyone deserves access to meaningful, high-quality photography. While working in education, we saw firsthand how many students were unable to afford traditional senior portraits, often leaving them without a photo that truly represented who they were. That realization sparked a crazy idea—to make professional photography more accessible without sacrificing quality.

What started with senior portraits has since grown into something much more.

Today, Crazy Idea Photography is both a portrait studio and a creative art brand. In addition to senior portraits, headshots, family sessions, and sports photography, we share our love of photography through a wide range of artistic work. Our collections include landscapes and travel photography, lensball imagery, water-droplet photography, light painting, and wildlife photography—each reflecting our curiosity, creativity, and appreciation for the world around us.

We also offer our artwork in unique and accessible formats – from high-quality prints on aluminum to photomagnets, our images are created to be enjoyed in everyday spaces. We also create custom photomagnets to capture our clients’ favorite moments. Complementing our photomagnet line, we design and create a unique line of 3D-printed frames to display the photomagnets and offer downloadable STL files for makers and creators.

To complement our own visual storytelling, we also provide a photo booth service, bringing interactive, high-energy experiences to events while maintaining the same attention to quality and detail found in our photography and products.

Our style reflects a relaxed, thoughtful, and intentionally crafted approach to photography. Whether capturing a portrait, designing a frame, creating a photomagnet, or original photographic art, our goal is always the same—to create pieces that feel personal, meaningful, and lasting.
